jpphoto4u Posted April 13, 2017 Share Posted April 13, 2017 I own a Helix LT with all updates. Never thought to try the 1/4" out until yesterday. I've been using the XLR/mono exclusively at church and runs great and clean. Cabled to a tube Fender Reverb which of course has ambient hiss but once attached to the Helix the hiss is well overdriven. No controls seem to affect the sound. phil_m Posted April 13, 2017 Share Posted April 13, 2017 Do you have the 1/4" out set to instrument level in the Global Settings menu? I think the default it line level, so that would mean you'd be sending a really hot signal to the amp and causing a lot hiss. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
