KRTW
So I spent hours today selecting sounds for tunes. Came back to finish up and when I tried to paste a sound in I got a big yellow banner saying something like Device Badly formatted response, and ALL my work is gone. At 2K, I am starting to wonder if I got the right unit. This should not happen. I just upgraded the unit ti 2.20, and I did the global reset. And now this. Pretty frustrated. Sounds frustrating but I am not clear by what "ALL my work is gone" was referring to. Did you lose saved presets you had been working on? Are you unable to save presets or load Customtone or saved presets from your last firmware version? Can you give us a little more detail on what is malfunctioning? KRTW
As stated, I spent a good portion of my day copying sounds, pasting them into a user bank and renaming them for my songs. Then customizing the sounds. After the error message the user bank was wiped clean.. I did a global reset again. Things are working, but 4 or 5 hours of work is gone. I understand now, thanks for the clarification. Your original post did not specifically state that an entire Setlist had been wiped out. I would not be happy either. That is a new one on me, I don't believe I have seen that reported before. I might consider reinstalling the firmware as well as doing the global update after that incident just to restore some level of confidence in the update. Good luck and I hope this does not reoccur. KRTW
I copied an bunch of basic amps and used stomp box mode for the night. I also did a global reset before that. It looks like the user bank, or set list is working after the reset. Don't know what caused the problem, but this would be a disaster at a live gig. I am going to back up often. Yup, too much time goes into designing and perfecting presets to have a firmware/software glitch or even human error erase it. I am stating the obvious but backups are our best bet for preserving that work and I do them regularly.
jbuhajla
If you were importing individual presets, make note of the one that you imported when you experience the issue. That preset is probably "corrupt".
