dmslive
What would be the best ( 2 ) 2 X 12" cabinets to use to turn my spider IV 150 watt in to true stereo and since that will disable the built in Line6 celestions could I utilize those by powering them with my spare spider IV 75 watt amp? Thanks, Dave
fflbrgst
Unfortunately, Line 6 does not offer 2x12 cabinets. The speakers they use are specially voiced to allow the amp modeling tone to come through as designed. Maybe someone else here has tried this with cabinets from another manufacturer and can advise what they used. Are you trying to do this for stage use? I've never been a fan of real stereo sound (i.e. different sound or stereo fx from each side) for live use as it becomes very directional - the people on the right side of the stage can't hear what your left speaker is doing and vice versa. It only really works for people in the 'sweet spot' of the room. On your second question, the Spider IV 75 does not have stereo output, so you would only be able to use one of the speakers of the 2x12 150 - trying to hook up both either in parallel or series configuration would change the impedance, possibly damaging the amp.
