shareefisolar
Hi there, I could really use some advice. I have a HD500 using the 4 cable method into a VOX AV30. I have 2 issues: 1) I have an external reverb pedal that I would like to have in the loop. Is this possible with the 4 cable method, and if so, where would I place the FX Loop block in the chain? 2) I have a looper stomp that I would like to have right at the end so I can utilize all the effects before recording a loop. Where would I put this in relation to the 4 cable method? I've tried a few different ideas, but I can't seem to get it to work properly in either case. Any help or advice would be really, really appreciated! Thank you for reading
pianoguyy
1. it is possible. 1a. you can put it anywhere you'd like depending on the tone you are looking for. 2. you can put it anywhere you'd like depending on the tone you are looking for. I have some additional pedals hooked on the FX LOOP, (not a reverb or a looper), my physical chain goes like this: Guitar > POD guitar Input > POD FX SEND > Analog Pedal 1, 2, 3...last pedal output > Amp's Guitar Input.......... (rest of 4CM connections...) When you add the FX LOOP BLOCK in your POD's chain, you must think what you have connected there and that logic should tell you the position of the block. Sometimes I use an additional volume pedal (my EXP 1 & 2 are busy handling OD Gain/Reverb depth) so I place the block after the mixer but before Delay and Reverb (this way I keep the trails of both).
