mikaelhansson
Everything worked like a charm, no problem installing and setting up the trial version. The presets were not loaded automatically though as someone else mentioned but it was solved by a quick look in the manual to find the restore function. Performance wise it seems quite ok as well for being v1.0. When using "normal" presets I have no problem running 16 separate instances (about 70% average load) on my late 2016 15" MBP i7 running Cubase 9. There are exceptions though, Factory 2 - 01B - Cavernous Clean peaks the cpu, even when it's the only instance running, causing pops and clicks. Looking at the amount of slots filled in the patch it's not a surprise though... :-) /Micke
requietus666
I definitely prefer #111111 background color of the original Helix Edit than all-black Native background. And I find fx icons to be a little too small, but it's probably a monitor thingie. On the bright side - its very helpful to gray out first levels of categories from which you cannot add an fx block to signal chain, I would like to see this in Helix Edit. It wouldn't hurt to bring out somewhere within the sight the save button, too.
jabak
I agree. Install and setup was a no brainer. Performance is good. Also I like the "new" look of the editor with all the nice icons. It really makes a difference to me.
jabak
Btw. If you want larger icons select the amp (or preamp or cab or effect) in your patch and then press the button thats made out of 3x3 small squares under "Edit". That will hide the block type selector and make the icons bigger.
