petebelschwinder
So I am trying to use my big sky with the helix. I had done the traditional send/return fx loop 1&2 for the strymon, When i do that (i am using headphones when creating patches) i enable to strymon and the loop on the unit and i only get sound in my left ear. When I disengage the footswitch the guitar goes back to being in both ears. The way around this is setting up a seperate send and return mono channel and then assigning them to the same footswitch. This works but i feel like the tone of the big sky becomes a tad distorted if I pluck a little harder or strum. so if you can see my predicament. The fx loop setting doesnt sound distorted or anything so i am stumped.
CraigGT
It may be that you're not sending on both channels of your loop, try unplugging the right input to the pedal (so it's mono in) to see if you get both output channels. With regard to it sounding distorted, I've posted previously about this but set your global loop level to 'Instrument' and set your effect block send level to -6dB and your return level to +6dB. CraigGT
A couple more thoughts, unless you're doing something dramatic in your patch there's no real point in going stereo into the the Strymon, just go mono into the left channel and use the return in stereo. Also you can use midi CC #102 to bypass the reverb without turning the loop on and off. Craig
