Tatzlord
Hey guys I finally bought a seven string guitar. It's an Ibanez RGIR27FE-BK (with active EMG 707 pickups). I also use the POD HD 300 since two years. I recorded some songs with another Ibanez (Model SZ2020EX with passive EMG 81/85 pickups). Now the thing is, that I have too much saw noise - or like gain over 9000 - on all my presets with my new seven string.. You can listen an example I attached. I really hope you guys can help me out. :( Sorry my bad English - I'm Swiss. Greez Dave 7 String Test (1).mp3
arislaf
Please record one samlpe with clean settings and upload your patch. I believe that you have too much gain on your patch rather than too hot guitar pick ups.
still_fiddlin
That constant buzz sounds like a ground/earth problem, and the gain settings are making it very obvious. Do you hear that sound when you play through an amplifier (in the same room, using same AC outlets)?
Tatzlord
hey guys many thanks for your answers! i will check it out! :) @arislaf my clean preset sounds like a crunch preset.. but i will try to put down the guitar volume @tsill_fiddlin I also use a Line 6 Spider III 150 and it works absolutely perfect.
