buckler57 Posted March 16, 2018 Share Posted March 16, 2018 I have a Marshall JVM410HJS (serial fx loop) that I am trying to integrate my hd500x with via 4cm. I seem to have everything connected properly. All effects before the preamp (in front of the fx loop block) work fine but when trying to putting any after the fx loop block (ie reverbs, delay, etc.) I am getting no sound from those effects. Moving them in front of the fx loop block is allowing them to work but I want them after the pre-amp of my Marshall not before. You are sure it is serial? Usually a mix knob on the amp to serialize it... All cables are set up like you have listed. FX Block is on and amp does have serial fx loop with a mix knob. buckler57 Posted March 16, 2018 Author Share Posted March 16, 2018 So there is an FX loop off/on switch on the front of the amp in broad daylight I apparently overlooked... It was not enabled thus why only the front of the pre-amp had any effect. spaceatl Posted March 16, 2018 Share Posted March 16, 2018 +6db is a level...This would be a percentage... 0-100%....The FX Loop in the HD can be run parallel maybe the MIX is O% in there...It might not be called MIX, but it is something close to that...I branched off and use the HD Desktop, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...Best of luck...I am guessing you are close to finding it... spaceatl Posted March 16, 2018 Share Posted March 16, 2018 One way to test if you have the Marshall setup right is to just run the HD conventionally and run to the FX Return of the Marshall only...If the Marshal loop is parallel, you will get next to nothing in terms of signal...I suspect the Marshall isn't like you think it is...Other guitarist in one of my bands has one and it's a real pain to get that thing setup right...At least when he first got it...
