natrennalls Posted October 24, 2018 Share Posted October 24, 2018 Hi there guys, Im new here, and I don't think my question could be answered by just skimming thru the first pages of the forums, so I thought I would post this question and see what feedback I got. A friend of mine and I are swapping units (he's going Fractal, I'm going Line6) but two of his LCD screens on his Helix don't light up. Now, they still work (the Bank 2 switch still switches between patches, and the other panel still switches its assigned effect on and off), so I think it's just a dead panel. Apparently when he bought it, the Effect panel was already out but he was heading in for some studio time, so he never got it taken care of. Regardless, he said that the unit is still under basic warranty (bought it in December 2016 and I'm guessing he got an extended warranty) and that it shouldn't be a problem to get fixed. There's a media file of the unit being used attached to this post. My question is if that kind of service is actually covered under the basic warranty given out for the unit? Thanks for your time! erabjohns Posted October 25, 2018 Share Posted October 25, 2018 You're going to need the original sales receipt. Ask your friend for it and then register your unit.
