PODHD vs 6505 Combo

I thought this was interesting.

I usually use my PODHD into a pair of JCM900 heads which each feed a Marshall 1936 2x12 cab.  I run a stereo hi gain patch into the FX return of each amp.

I recently picked up a used Peavey 6505+ 1x12 combo then put a Vintage 30 speaker in it.  I only have a total of $400 bucks in it.  This combo is really nice for hi gain tones and it's really loud for a small amp.  I wheel this thing in on a hand-truck and can setup in 2 minutes.

I compared both rigs the other day.  It's hard to tell them apart, other than I think the PODHD has a more analog warmth to the tone.  That surprised the living lollipop out of me.  I'll post a video of it soon and let you decide.

I did this a while back with a Laney GH50L versus my rig and it was hard to tell them apart
