I have it the way you're saying but nothing...Anyone can give me a hand here please? ok what i did was make my connections with the 4 cm and then the cable from the ext amp to the back of the amp. then in command center i highlighted a switch that i wanted to use to change channels, i turned the command knob to ext amp and left the select knob at tip. then in global settings in preferences i turned the exp2/ext amp to ext amp out. now you should be able to change channels with the helix. now unfortunately the hum issue is a ground loop that i am waiting to get an ebtech hum eliminator to arrive and then you just put it between the helix send and amp input to lift the ground loop and kill the hum, i will update when it arrives. hopefully that helps you abit
pegamarz
Hi thank you! I’m already able to switch the channel s of my MT 15 through the Helix, the problem is the Hum (loud and distorted). I have already the Hum eliminator (like the guy shows in the vid on YT right?) and guess what? It doesn’t work (at least in my case). I called line 6 and they were explaining me (very kindly) that it might be that in the channel jack of the amp might be sending an electric flow back to the foot switch of the amp and that might be causing the Hum. I called PRS but the person who might help me was not there by the time I called, I have to check if that information might be correct or not. I’m already frustrated because it’s a lot of money in equipment and somehow it’s not working (together) the way it should be and both are great! I will keep you posted.... Daz-lp
The only other thing i found online was when using the trs cable cut the ground wire and apparently the hums stops. i only have a ts cable at the moment but when i cut the ground it doesnt channel switch anymore. endyamon
Hi guys, sorry to refresh a thread of December 2018, but I just bought a PRS MT 15 and I have an Helix LT and a HX Stomp and I was just wandering if it is possible to switch the channel amp with these 2 pedal boards. I read about the hum issue and I read about a midi switcher but it is quite annoying to spend more money on high end equipment to fix this kind of issues... Anyway how did you solve this problem? Were you able to use 4CM on the amp in the way it's meant to be? Please share your experiences, I need some advice (I am still in time to return the amp, even if I don't want... The lead channel is awesome). Thanks everybody!
