andrewk4
How do I create a User setlist in the HD Edit software, when my favourite patches come from more than one setlist? I have installed a bunch of custom patches from the net into User 1 setlist. I want to drag and drop some of these custom patches from User 1 setlist into User 2 setlist, and then drag some of the patches from Best of Line 6 setlist into User 2 setlist. But HD Edit will only let me open one setlist at a time. Im new at this. What am I missing? I have all current software and firmware from Line 6 monkey, running a Pod HD500, and Mac OSX current version.
pianoguyy
Did you read the owners manuals?
andrewk4
Yes, Ive read the manual, googled this, and watched a heap of youtube videos on HD edit. I just can't figure this part out.
andrewk4
Hurghanico, thanks for the reply. I know this should be easy and I must be missing something obvious. Perhaps the screenshots will make it clearer. I screenshot 1, I have loaded setlist 'best of HD', and selected patch 1A son of plexi. I want to drag and drop this patch into a new setlist "User 1" which has vacant spaces. It seems I can only send this patch to the foot pedal ? The only way to get to a new setlist, seems to be to load it from the pulldown menu, as shown in screenshot 2? I can switch between setlist, but I can't from one setlist to another? How do you perform this in your windows software?

There is no mention of a 'Setlist Window' or how to drag and drop patches, in the manuals that I can see. I think the manual is badly written and poorly defined, and I am at a loss to understand why you want to criticise me, instead of being helpful like Hurghanico was. you could have simply pointed me to the correct answer. I guess this is my welcome to the forum as a new user? The manual shows button 4 at the 'Setlist selector' within the Presets Panel, so that was what I was working on. see screenshots. The actual 'Setlist Window' button (that should be used), is poorly defined as button 6 and labelled 'Edit Panel' which seems to be the wrong wording. (see screenshot). Im still scratching my head as to why you would want to have an argument over it though??? maybe you could show me a screenshot to the page that talks about Setlist Window, and how to drag and drop one patch ? Heres a link to the manuals in case you need it mate.......cheers https://line6.com/support/manuals/podhd500/

The guy asked a genuine question , if you know the answer and want to tell him fine , if you dont want to tell him thats still fine but just keep the smart arse answers to yourself , they help nobody . You dont know but maybe he's dyslexic or has poor eye sight and just couldnt see it in the mass of words in the manual, or maybe hes an old guy like me and things just dont sink in as fast. In the past I have asked questions on forums and been told "search for it and you will get 10 answers" , great , but only if you know the correct term to search for , otherwise it finds nothing I always thought these community forums were for the more experienced to help the less experienced , or to pass on usefull things you have found out that might help others not to belittle them and show them just how clever you are
pianoguyy
Oh, look. Someone who creates an account solely because he wants to revive an 18 month old thread to say absolutely nothing. I'm gonna repeat myself - step one is to read the owner's manual(s)
pianoguyy
Oh, and for the record, we have gone on (since this topic was started) to discover that some people cannot fully do a drag~and~drop due to their own hardware/software issues. But the other methods (listed in the OM) would still work in this situation.
