HX Effects Midi Send Control - Bank Up/Bank Down

Hello All,

 

I have an idea of running two HX Effects in Parallel (With a Kemper). I LOVE the HX Effects/Kemper combo for tone, it's insane but a bit limited in functionality of the amount of switches on the HXFX. If I ran two, I would run one with Preset Mode and the other in Stomp Mode to switch on and off stomps within the preset as needed. I routinely run both Kemper and HX Effects in any preset (using CC instances/commands) on the HXFX. My question is, I would want to be able to have both HXFX bank up and down at the same time by using one of the two HXFX's bank switches...does anyone if midi send is assignable to the bank buttons on the HX?

 

Thanks in advanced, I know this sounds complicated but I have everything mapped out as I need but just not sure of Banking Midi send capabilities and trying to figure this out before I pull the trigger on a second HXFX.

You could control the second HX Effects via MIDI from the first HX Effects, but, no, they wouldn't bank up and down together. There is no MIDI command associated with that function.

 

Honestly, you'd be better off selling your first HX Effects and getting a Helix or Helix LT for this sort of thing. It would be much less convoluted, and you'd have all the effects capability (and more!) of two HX Effects.
