danss Posted May 5, 2019 Share Posted May 5, 2019 Hello there, I'd like to connect my Helix to the PA system - through the XLR mono out - and to my power amp - through the 1/4" mono out - Can I use the same Helix preset on both of them at the same time? I'll use a cab simulator (impulse response) to go in the PA, but then I'll have it going in the power amp/cab as well. Is that ok? Thanks for your help. DunedinDragon Posted May 6, 2019 Share Posted May 6, 2019 There's nothing to stop you from doing it, but the results may not be what you want. There's no doubt that what you hear on stage may be quite different than the sound the audience will be hearing through the PA. Most people find it better to split the signal chain prior to the IR and send one signal to the power amp and the other one with the IR to the PA. Even then there will be differences.
