FTLOSM Posted January 5, 2014 Share Posted January 5, 2014 I haven't used my hd500 in a few months, I pulled it out tonight to mess with it and noticed it needed quite a few updates, i did all the updates in line 6 monkey even restarted the computer but I am getting no sound out of the hd500. I have the playback device set as the pod500, and the digital interface set at pod 500, as for the HD500 edit menu I chose guitar, then guitar+ aux, and even tried aux alone, guitar is plugged into the rear guitar input, verified sound is turned up on guitar, usb connected, all seems fine and should be working. I plugged a set of headphones into the headphone jack out and that works fine, I just can't seem to get it to come back thru my computer speakers (2 rokit 6's) like it used to. Any ideas it's probably something very simple, I hadn't used it much to start with but it did work, now that I got the bug to mess with it again I sure can't get it to do anything - frustrating, guess I will check back later and maybe just use headphones for a bit here. This was the first time I ran the line 6 update stuff I guess I need to go check out the manual about how to "calibrate" maybe that is it... I just ended up playing with headphones for a while last night, I will fiddle with it more today worst case I can at least use the headphones for now till I figure it out. panaman Posted January 6, 2014 Share Posted January 6, 2014 You may need to re-install the driver, then select the pod as Your soundcard. After updating to 2.20, and probably plugging into a different usb socket, the monkey had major issues detecting the pod. depending on Your windows version, the drivers may have to be reinstalled every time a new usb is used. FTLOSM Posted January 30, 2014 Author Share Posted January 30, 2014 I did get it working finally, had to go into the playback devices and altho it was set to HD500 for whatever reason another choice which was setup as UX2 when I had my desktop UX2 WORKED but the HD500 profile is silent - go figure I was trying stuff just to see what I could get to work but glad I tried that!
