JimDiGritz
I booted up Reaper after a short break and the Audio warning popped up telling me that the Audio Device wasn't found. I've seen this before so I opened the Audio Preferences and went to select ASIO Helix as the Driver/Device. Bizarrely, now the only Helix option available is ASIO HX Stomp.... I have never owned an HX Stomp. As you might expect, if I select this I get no sound... Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? I'm on Helix 2.8, HX Edit works fine and whilst I can't exactly remember whether I've used Reaper since the upgrade to 2.8, I think I have. Any ideas appreciated! JimDiGritz
FYI updating to 2.81 fixed it!
neilberg
100% same issue here, only my helix floor is on 2.92. Things sure worked fine for years before this, but I think it has been 2 or 3 weeks since I last used reaper. Selecting HX stomp (which I have never had hooked up or owned) give me zero valid options underneath. I cannot update because I am on the latest. I guess I will see if restarts and waiting for Line6 updates does the trick. UPDATE: This was a deep Windows 10 problem where Windows could not find (or was mislabeling) audio devices. Reinstalling Helix drivers to 1.95 made everything normal again. This fix worked, thank goodness. Now audio from windows and helix inputs are both flowing through the Helix headphone out AND "ASIO Helix" is again an option in Reaper.
