Flickering line top of the main screen

Hi there,
I have a line 6 helix floor that was bought two years ago from PMT UK on 1.09.2017. It works fine but I think it may be developing a fault. There is a white thin flickering line on the top of the main lcd screen when it is switched on but it disappears after some time the unit is on, about 15 minutes, it is like the lcd screen needs warming up. It doesn't block any content of the screen, as it is at the very edge.

It happens every time I start the unit after it has not been used for a while. I think it has been there for a while but someone else pointed out that his helix hasn't got it, and I am concerned it could become a problem by affecting a bigger area of the screen.

Is this a known problem?

Is there any easy fix, like a software update? (No change after updating to 2.82)

Alternatively, given that I am only reporting it now, and after checking the date of purchase I realised it is over two years, would this be covered under warranty?

Thanks

Hi,

I doubt that you are covered by Line 6 warranty as that is limited to a year. Check to see if PMT supplied any additional cover when you bought the unit.

Anyhow, the U.K. Service Department are excellent, quick and relatively inexpensive. There is a £48 diagnostic charge, but that will be deducted from the total cost of any repair. You can contact them here:

Recently, I had them repair/re-solder the connection tags of the joystick on my floor unit - there and back, done in a week - billed at £96 and then had my £48 refunded. Excellent.
