Dual Amp But Single Channel

Can't figure it out. Hoping for a little help.  I use the left channel to go to the left channel on my amp. I use these with my elec guitar/distorted tones.  The HD's right channel goes to my amp's right channel. I use these channels for acoustic guitar/patches. I never want the hd to output to both channels. With that in mind. I want to use two amps in a single patch. Each one used exclusively. Ie, when one is on, the other is off.

First problem. How the heck do I add a second amp to the patch in HD Edit?  Second, any tips on how to do this and still stick within the parameters above?

I've attached a pic of one of my elec patches.

Thanks for the help!

odd. well, alright, i'm not crazy. the only way i can drag my amp into channel a is if i drag it to the post position, then drag it to the end of channel A, then move everything else in channel A after the amp. it won't let me drag the amp to the beginning of channel A.  well, at least i've made a little progress. hmmm

also oddly, i don't have trouble dragging amps when starting from a New Tone patch. dang it!

Nothing strange, just normal behavior..

If there are already blocks in path A you can drag the amp slot from pre-split position to path A but only after the last block in that path, and then if you want you can move the blocks after the amp slot.

Therefore if you start editing a new empty patch (ie with still empty path A) you can drag the amp slot in path A and then add other blocks directly after it.
