Fuzzyrye
Tomorrow i will be buying a Helix LT i have already bought studio monitors https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075QVMBT9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Now to my dumb question what would be the best way to connect for the best tone? Like what cables/method would I go about?
bassbene
The best way would be to use XLR (female) to stereo 1/4" jack cables so that you benefit from the balanced signal of the XLR outs of the helix. You can just use standard 1/4" mono instrument cables as well, it will work and it would not make much of a difference for most environments. Balanced connections are most beneficial with cable runs >20', when unbalanced cables become subject to noise. If your monitors have XLR connectors, go XLR on both ends regardless of distance.
