Setting up a stomp box ( percussion kick pad) with a send return

Hey

wonder if anyone has experience / advice for this.

I want to add in stomp box ( kick drum sound) to my helix LT set up  - ideally want to add it as a send /return  - ( so i can plug it in to the Helix and also put it through the looper)

 

In a perfect world I also want to be able to set up an EQ that just affects the kick drum sound - can someone tell me how to do this ? - I experimented a bit and got a bit messed up with the signal path  etc.....
