HX STOMP 4CM with BOSS ES8

Recommended Posts

Not sure If I had this post in the correct forum so adding here.

I have a rather complicated problem I am trying to solve. I am wondering, IS IT POSSIBLE...to put the HX Stomp FX Loop into one of the loops in the BOSS ES8???

I have a few preamp pedals that I like to run directly into the power section of my amp ( Syn-30 Amp) but I also use the Pre-amp section of the Syn-30 in IT's own loop on the ES8.

The routing is this:

Guitar>ES8 In

ES8 Loop 1: HX Stomp FX Loop ( gates, wahs, drive pedals)

ES8 Loop 2: Precision Drive

ES8 Loop 3: Horizon Devices APEX Pre-amp

ES8 Loop 4: Syn-30

ES8 Loop 5: EMPTY

ES8 Loop 6: Clean Boost

ES8 Loop 7: Two Notes Le Clean Pre-amp

ES8 Loop 8: HX Stomp I/O for Post Effects; Delay, reverb etc.

I have the Syn 30 routed like this:

Guitar> ES8 Input 1

ES8 Loop 4 Send>Syn-30 Input

ES8 Loop 4 Return> Syn- 30 Send

ES8 Output 1> Syn-30 Return

As you can see. I am trying to have the HX Stomp FX activated when using any of the pre-amp pedals OR when using the Syn-30 Pre-amp Tones, independently.

NOTE: The ES8 allows users to re-arrange pedals/loop structures internally w/o pluggin/unplugging cables, I would like to keep this functionality.

What I am trying to achieve:

Ability to have Gates, Wahs, drive pedals (pre amp effects) in there own send/return loop on the ES8

Ability to have post effects like delays, reverbs and a post gate in it's own send.return loop on the ES8

IS THIS POSSIBLE???

Any help would be so greatly appreciated
