adspink Posted March 7, 2020 Share Posted March 7, 2020 Hello all. I just ordered a used HD400 pod from Guitar Center. It appears to be broken, since I can't get the pod to make any sounds with the guitar, and there is a very pitched ringing sound coming from the device. The lack of guitar sound and the loud high pitching ringing happen on the headphone jack, the balanced output, and the unbalanced output. The ringing happens at the same loud volume regardless of the volume control on the device. I did a factory reset and updated the drivers, no change. The firmware is 2.0 already on the device. The monkey software recognizes the device, but with no sound other than a high pitched ringing, it is obviously not usable. Is this just a case of a broken/defective device that should be returned?
