hurghanico Posted April 9, 2020 Share Posted April 9, 2020 The Hiwatt 103 amp has more clean headroom than other rock amps like the Plexi that instead distorts earlier with lower settings . So to make it distort by itself (with no pedals) it needs to be turned up quite a lot. By default its amp model has the master volume parameter set halfway at 50%, therefore you can still turn it up more to make its power-amp distorting much more. If not enough, especially if you are using a single coil equipped guitar, put the provided booster FX in front of the amp model, or use the Studio EQ as a clean full frequency booster, or one of the provided overdrive FXs, or some combinations of those mentioned FXs, any solution gives different distortion flavors. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
