Hx stomp problem with expression pedal

Hi, I'm having a problem with the memorisation of max and min values when using an expression pedal.

I'm using a boss fv-500h; I'm not talking about the weird sweep problem which I fixed by inverting the polarity (the problem has come up a million times on this and other forums), this is a different issue: if I leave the default max and min values everything works correctly (the sweep goes from min to max very cleanly), but if I try to set different values it still goes from min to max no matter what I do. I mean, it can't be the exp pedal right? It works perfectly, it's the Stomp that for some reason can't remember the min and max values I give.

Do you have any ideas?

What are the steps you’re using to set the max and min values? The main thing is they have to be set after selecting the expression pedal as the controller. I’ve seen some people get confused by the Learn function in this regard. You hit the Learn knob to select the controller, and after that, you go and set the max and min values.

Hello again, I'm back with another question.

I'm using the expression pedal on the stomp to go from clean to distorted by turning up the drive and turning down the master/channel volume at the same time (on the Amp or a pedal, for example). I'm finding that it's hard to get the volume to stay the same during the sweep from clean to distorted; I get a hump in the volume response at about 50 percent of the pedal's travel probably because the input/drive level rises too quickly compared to how quickly the master/channel volume is turned down), so in that region the output can be up to +5db and it's very annoying to the ear. Is there a way to change the response curve for the single parameters? Now I'm using a limiter right after the Amp to keep the volume leveled, but I'm wasting a block that could be used for something else. Or is there maybe a better way to do it (I've tried with a volume pedal block set to log and the problem is still there)?

Thanks and have a nice day
