Rockobeall Posted June 30, 2020 Share Posted June 30, 2020 Hi, I am trying to figure out if there is a CC message to swap between Play view and Edit view? I just bought a MIDI baby and I am trying to set it up so one press I can go to Preset footswitch mode and then the next press so I can go back to Edit View mode. I have it setup now so one press goes to Preset footswitch mode and then the next press is Stompbox mode in Play view. Problem is ironically I don't like playing in Play mode because I like to be able to adjust settings on the fly if I need to. Thanks! rd2rk Posted June 30, 2020 Share Posted June 30, 2020 CC#71 Footswitch Mode (0=Stomp, 1=Scroll, 2=Preset, 3=Snapshot, 4=Next footswitch mode, 5=Previous footswitch mode) If you want to, you can manually put the Stomp in Edit Mode, then use the above MIDI messages to change the functions of the footswitches. Rockobeall Posted July 1, 2020 Author Share Posted July 1, 2020 Thanks for the reply! So it seems like in Scroll mode there is no problem and will keep you in edit mode if you manually select it. However, in Preset mode it will knock you out of edit mode and go back to play mode if you use the bank up or down functions... Not sure if there are any solutions to this or not. I'm not sure I understand. Using MIDI, you can select Preset Mode, switch Presets using the Stomp buttons, and you will remain in Edit Mode. For Bank UP and Bank DOWN you're stuck, but if you send Preset #s (000-127), you'll get to where you want to be and still be in Edit Mode. I guess my only other question is there any way to setup a CC message to go to the Edit view? CC#71 is for all the different Play views from my understanding. Thanks again! No. Like I said, you can manually put it in EDIT view, where it will stay if you use MIDI to change from Preset/Stomp/Snapshot views, and you can send specific Program Changes to get to presets in other Banks, but if you want to use Bank Up/Down you're SOL.
