W/D/W Rig with Mesa JP2C

Looking for some input/advice before I embark on a shopping trip...

Want to set up a W/D/W rig with Helix and a Mesa JP2C amp. The signal flow would be:

Guitar -> Helix -> Helix FX Send -> Amp Input ->

[Here is where I am not sure if this would give me the desired results]

Amp Out -> Torpedo Captor (the regular one not the new X) -> Two Outputs from here

1- Torpedo to speaker (with or without attenuation as needed)

2- Line out (on the front - its without the speaker sim) -> Helix FX return ->Helix L/R outs to FRFR cabs

The end result is that the amp is the center dry signal using pre-amp fx from the Helix (compression, overdrive, occasional modulation, etc.).

The left and right get the core tone from the amp via the torpedo captor and  I can add delay/reverb/other stereo effects as well as using different cab sims going to the FRFRs.

Anyone ever try something like this?

That should work.

Setting up the delay and reverb can be a challenge if you don't want to hear any of the dry signal in the mix with the wet.   I got the best result running the delay and reverb in parallel with the mix all the way up to block the dry signal. If you want the reverb on the delay repeats, you can always add another reverb after the delay for them.   lots of things to try.

Going Stereo is a lot easier and cheaper!
