HarleyG
I mostly play keys for a classic rock band, but play electric guitar on a few songs. To avoid the hassle of lugging so much gear, I'm tempted to go direct using my Pod XT and leave the amp at home. Does anyone here do the same and are satisfied with the sound? cbrillow
Haven't done exactly this, but I think it would work out fine, under certain circumstances. I think the most critical factor would be your role as a guitarist in this instance. If you're just adding rhythm to the mix, you ought to be able to easily find a setting that will work for you. Getting a suitable lead tone might take a little more experimentation and effort, but is certainly doable!

The only leads I played were the harmonies on the dueling guitar solos for Peace Of Mind and Your Love.
