3.0 features > Creative new solutions

Of course I love almost everything about 3.0 and the things I dont love immediately will take time for me to try out and see how I can use it best.  HOWEVER, I love all the creative ways the new features can be used. 

 

Favorite settings for example....specifically Amp settings (IR's too, but I have a question)....

 

I set up a 'Amp/IR Test' preset....maybe i can something more efficient, but this seemed best for me at the moment this morning....  I add an Amp only block, and 2 IR's in series on path 1A, then add an Amp+Cab block and 2 IR's in series on path 2.  Using Snapshots I have setup:

 

Snapshot 1 - Amp 1 - Amp + Cab engaged only, all others bypassed, settings version 1

Snapshot 2 - Amp 2 - Amp + Cab engaged only, all others bypassed, settings version 2

Snapshot 3 - Amp 3 - Amp + Cab engaged only, all others bypassed, settings version 3

Snapshot 4 - Amp 4 - Amp + Cab engaged only, all others bypassed, settings version 4

Snapshot 5 - IR 1 - Amp only block, IR 1

Snapshot 6 - IR 2 - Amp only block, IR 2

Snapshot 7 - IR 3 - Amp only block, IR 3

Snapshot 8 - IR 4 - Amp only block, IR 4

 

This allows me to dial in amp settings using the stock cab to get an idea of the amps nature/sound that I'd like to potentially save as a favorite.  Then transfer settings to the Amp Only block, and then audition IR's using those settings I liked to find an IR that gets me closer to what I'd like out of that sound.  I dont mind stock cabs for ballpark, but find York Audio IR's get me closer.  

 

My questions....    

 

1)  Is there an easy way to transfer settings from an Amp + Cab block to an Amp only block?

2) If I save an IR, lets say its in slot 67, and I save it as Placatar Dirty Cab 1 favorite....when I recall it, I do not have to remap the IR slot used correct?

     2a) if I happen to move the IR from slot 67 to slot 63 because I remove some IR's I'm not using and I make room, will the favorite IR follow the slot change or will I need to note that elsewhere potentially?
