hanschej
I have a FBV Shortboard MKII that is connected to a Spider IV 75 watt amp. The plastic clip on the original cable connector broke off. I purchased a CAT 6 cable as a replacement but when I plugged it in, the board would light up and indicate it was a floorboard, but it would not respond to any of the buttons. I then went back, connected the old cord, and duct taped the connector in for now. The system works fine. The replacement cable is a standard CAT 6 cable. Shouldn't it work, or no? Do I need a CAT 5 specifically? Any insight is appreciated.
fflbrgst
Yes, you should use a CAT5 cable, not 6.
