archtopeddy
Here's an OPERATING TIP: Rather than moving over full CDs or playlists of various artists from my computer's iTunes to my iPhone, I create special "playlists" in my iTunes, copy over only the songs I want, and use these playlists for tone matches, practice and jamming. I name the lists "Line 6 Collection 1, Line 6 Collection 2, Line 6 Jazz Play-Alongs, Line 6 Blues Play-Alongs, etc." to keep everything in specific places. It saves a lot of room on your iPhone or iPad and puts everything in convenient little baskets. AE
charlyg
Yup, makes sense. I have 50 gb of music on my iPad, but now that I'm making music on it, I need to delete the library and just bring over playlists. I can use that memory elsewhere! But, my heel is hurting and I took a pain pill. Not the best time to organize music files!
ice9mike
You can also use CopyTrans to drag and drop individual songs from your computer to the any I device. It's a great Itunes replacement that is lightweight and simple. It even has a utility to install I device drivers without installing Itunes. I just checked the website and it looks like CopyTrans is designed to copy songs from the I device back to your computer. Have you used the software to to copy songs from your computer to an I device? (Also, are you using a PC or MAC?) Thanks! AE
ice9mike
I use the software from a PC. I don't think it's available for Macs. You can use the CopyTrans Manager to drag a drop songs from a windows explorer window to the CopyTrans Manager window. Hit the sync button to send it to your I device, then eject when you are done. Really easy and very small program.
