wildcatstrat41
So I've been running my HX effects in the following setup: Guitar -> Polytune 3 ->HX Effects left input HX Effects L out -> Boss FV30L L in/out -> DSM & Humboldt Simplifier DLX L input HX Effects R out -> Boss FV30L R in/out -> DSM & Humboldt Simplifier DLX R input Simplifier DLX stereo effects loop L&R sends -> Eventide Timefactor L&R -> Source Audio Ventris Reverb L&R -> Simplifier DLX L&R returns Simplifier L&R XLR outs -> FOH or audio interface at home Essentially what I want is the ability to PAN individual effects to to into either the Left or Right outputs of the HX Effects, as this allows to send certain effects into either the Left or Right inputs of the Simplifier, which function as separate and independent amps. From how I understand what I'm reading in the manual, this is not the same as the whole path A and path B thing. Example would be send a block with the Teemah model only to the left output, and have a Fuzz block going to the right output. I'm sure this is probably a lot simpler than I'm thinking, but I just can't wrap my head around how to accomplish this. Any tips are appreciated. Hi, If I understand correctly, you want to split your guitar input so that you have a Teemah in the left channel and a Fuzz in the right hand channel? I would guess that simply splitting the input into parallel paths is what you need, as explained in the Owner's Manual Page 36 "Parallel Path Routing" Try this quick and dirty example to see if it is what you are try to achieve. Teemah > Left - Triangle Fuzz > Right each going to relative 1/4" outs HXFX L&R OUT.hlx Hope this helps/makes sense.

Is this only possible by using BOTH of the sends? Was hoping I could send one path to Left and the other to Right without losing my ability to use the effects loops of the HX Effects. Not a huge deal if not. Thanks again for the info! I'll load this preset onto my HX effects and see what comes out lol.

No, I set this up real quick to split left and right and straight to your 1/4” main audio outputs. The only thing on the right hand path is the Triangle Fuzz, and likewise the Teemah on the left. Both path are stereo with mono drive blocks, so if you want to add a Send/Return block to one, or both paths after the distortion it should be fine. That’s why I said “If I understand correctly”, because your initial post made it appear you were passing the signal straight through the HX Effects to the Boss FV to the 2 amp model in the Humbolt which handled the delay and verb FX, but you unable split the path for the drive and fuzz to go to separate outputs then into the Simplifier. You didn’t mention using Send/Return FX Loops in the HX. Easy enough for you to modify the preset as required, I guess (I use a Helix floor not HX FX). Hope this helps/makes sense. Not sure if the preset you shared was created with your connected Helix, but for some reason when I loaded it into hx edit for my hx effects, it had Path a going to the main L&R outputs and Path b going to Send 1/2, hence my initial confusion. On a good note, I think I finally figured it out! I edited your preset to have both paths go to the main L&R outputs, and all I needed to do was pan Path a to go to the left and path b to the right in the mixer block. Not sure how it took me so long to wrap my head around it. I still have the ability to run shared path effects before the split or after the mixer block. EXACTLY what I was hoping I could do! Thanks so much for helping me figure this out!

Not sure what happened to the preset, but it’s good to know that you managed to figure out how to modify it for your purpose. Have fun.
