nathanking1970
Hi, the issue I have is when switching between one preset with a wah pedal model active and another where a volume pedal model is active. The problem being that the 2nd preset uses the physical position of the exp pedal to dictate its volume which is very often in a random post-wah frenzy position and could be anywhere from zero to full! I would rather the 2nd preset always started at full volume until I told it otherwise. Does anyone know if this is possible? Many thanks in advance! dbagchee
How I handle this is rather than have a separate preset with the wah already active, I add the wah using the toe switch and set it to expression pedal two. That way when I turn the wah off the volume is at max as well since the pedal has to be all the way down to hit the switch. If you have other fx that are changing in your wah preset currently you can change them to have them all mapped to the same wah switch so they change at the same time too. If you can't do either of these (maybe because you are already using your max fx blocks) I would save a copy of your 1st preset with the volume pedal switched off (you can assign a button to it also if you like). Let's call this preset 3. After your wah frenzy switch to preset 3, then when convenient get the pedal back to the down position and either switch back to preset 1 at that point or hit the switch and just stay in preset 3. Lots of options!
nathanking1970
Great solutions, thanks guys! I can certainly find a workaround with those ideas. I seem to remember an old multi fx floorboard of mine gave me the option for it to either recall the preset volume as saved or take its direction from the expression pedal and it was quite a handy feature!
