Good afternoon all,

So, I own the Helix floor and I purchased the Mission EP1-L6 pedal, solely to connect as EXP 3 and use it as a classic wah for Blues. The problem is that no matter what settings I use, the pedal only controls the volume….can someone post a step by step of the how to set this up or link me to a video that shows how to add an external pedal and get the settings right?

Appreciate any help on this…

Hi,

Let’s try this - first connect your Mission pedal to the jack socket marked EXP 3 on the rear panel of the Helix.

Next, either using a preset that already has a wah block, or create a new patch and add your choice of wah block to the signal path. Now using the joystick, highlight the wah block and press the “hamburger” menu (three horizontal lines) button, to the right of the “Save” button. Press knob 2 “Controller” below the main screen, and turn it to select “EXP 3” then you should see the “Min” , “Max” values of 0 and 100% are set and your wah should function.

There are other ways to do this documented in the Helix 3.0 Owner’s Manual - Rev F - English - page 53 Controller Assign.

It’s very helpful.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Yes, this does make sense! I believe I was missing some of these steps, so thank you very much!
