Snapshots, Stomps, and Control Center

I'm attempting a layout with a mix of stomps/snapshots and I'm running into a couple issues.

1) Touching a snapshot button brings up control center on the unit. I found the option to disable this functionality, but it also disables it for stomps. I don't see any reason for control center to be displayed in a live situation, but I want to be able to reach down and tweak knobs for stomps. Is there another way to display a particular stomp on the screen?

2) Control center layouts change for each snapshot. It's incredibly tedious to have to set up all the footswitches for each snapshot, and then for every single change having to make it many times over. Is there a way to have a universal layout for all the snapshots?

Appreciate any help!

No, but there are many ways to streamline the process. I'm not going to re-type them. RTM.

To which question are you responding?

Would you be so kind as to point me in the right direction if this information is in the manual? Checking the manual was of course my first attempt... a vague directive to read it again is not helpful.

Your question (2) translates to "The whole process is complicated and annoying. Tell me how to make it simple."

The ONLY answer to that question is "RTM!". You should be able to figure things out by reading the sections on using SNAPSHOTS and COMMAND CENTER.

Everybody has different needs and different ideas of what they want Snapshots to do.

If you ask a specific question, someone here can provide a specific answer.

As to question 1, in Stomp Mode the SNAPSHOT switches are actually STOMPS, that's why the display goes to CommandCenter when you touch a Snapshot button.

Set STOMP SELECT to PRESS instead of TOUCH to solve the problem.

The problem there is that pressing the FS toggles the Bypass state. If you don't want to do that, you can leave STOMP SELECT set to TOUCH for quick changes to a specific STOMP (just don't touch the SNAPSHOT switches) and use PEM (Pedal Edit Mode - see the Quick Start section). Press and Hold the MODE FS (6). Press the FS corresponding to the effect you want to edit. You can either bend down and turn the corresponding parameter knob or press the corresponding parameter FS and use the VALUE switches to change the parameter's value. A single press increments/decrements by .1 and holding causes progressive changes.

Thank you for your patience and the additional info.

It sounds like there isn't a way to do what I want currently. And yes, I do have a very reasonable expectation for gear to not be overly complex and annoying. Unfortunately this is often not the case. I did read the sections on snapshots and command center prior to your post, and still don't see any way to get around tedious repetition. Its unfortunate that the engineers have not implemented an easier way to do this, such as a master layout for control center that is overridden by snapshot-specific layouts.
