pcurry83 Posted August 4, 2022 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Using a MOTU M4 interface and Sysex Librarian, I had no problem sending individual preset backup sysex files to my Mac - however, when I try to then send presets IN to the M5, it shows a quick loading screen on the device but the preset does NOT load into the bank. Nothing. I've tried fiddling with midi channels, different cables, etc, it's just not working. Huge bummer, basically renders the sysex backup process useless. The only thing I noticed is that I think when I tried it with the the All presets dump it worked, however that does me almost no good as far as managing and moving individual presets. I suppose I'll have to write down all my preset settings by hand, good lord. I've been using my M5 connected via MIDI to my synth (yamaha SY55) for a whole year, it's been great because it receives Program Change from my synth (with the help of a midi filter to stop the tuner from activating ha) but now that I've finally gotten around to backing up and moving my presets, I'm completely stuck.
