balkonien
Hey, I have a question regarding the switching options of the pod go. I would love to have a chain in which I can switch between clean, dist and solo through different amp channels (in this case the different Cali Amps). The rest of the chain should stay the same. Is it possible to switch the amp channel like any other effect or is there a workaround to achieve this? Thank you! Samuel

You either need to use a preset for each amp, or pick one that goes from clean to distorted and use snapshots to change it between gain settings. voxman55
Alternatively you can add gain with a distortion pedal and/or mix the amp and distortion pedal gains to layer in different levels of distortion.

That is exactly what I did with my pod. I had an amp (usually the rockerverb) with a switch to go from low-gain to high-gain, and then a drive pedal (usually the minotaur). That gives 4 gain stage options and worked for me for everything from clean to metal. You could then even use snapshots to change an IR for each gain stage if you have some that sound better for clean vs distorted.

Or a foot-switch (internal or external eg FS7/8) - and with external foot-switches you can kick in the IR change, or indeed any change, from any Pod Go mode without having to tap-dance.
