corena Posted November 27, 2022 Share Posted November 27, 2022 I have an issue with my HX Effects ext amp ouput jack when connected to my PRS MT15 input footswitch causing a loud buzzing noise. As I understand, it's a known ground issue with some HX Effects units. I bought a Palmer Audio Interface (PAL-PLI01) to filter the noise between the ext amp and MT15 footswitch input. However, once connected the channel switching no longer works on MT15 amp head. So, the only use I found for the Palmer Audio Interface filter was connecting to the FX Return on HX Effects which reduced the buzzing noise by 50-60%. My question is there any reasonably priced tool alternative solution that I might try to use between the ext amp jack and footswitch input that won't interfere with the channel switch working but also solve the buzz sound? There has to be some solution to this ground issue as it appears to happen with many amp models/makers. The buzz noise is only when my HX Effects ext amp is connect to footswitch input.
