Use HX Stomp to send MIDI messages to Helix Native in DAW (Waveform)

I currently use the HX Stomp as my audio interface for my computer.  I use it with my DAW Waveform 11.  My question is can I use the HX Stomp to send midi messages to Helix Native in my DAW?  I would like to program the Helix Native in my daw to turn a block on/off via a button press on the HX Stomp or via a button press on my MC6 that is connected to my HX Stomp.

So far I cant figure out how to make this happen.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I’m not quite sure that I fully comprehend the issue here? Your Stomp, can do it and you also have a MC6.

If you’re using your HX Stomp to record into your DAW, you can capture the fully processed signal from your guitar on USB 1&2 along with a dry unprocessed signal available on USB 5&6. The dry can then be reprocessed through whatever setting you choose in Helix Native. You could choose to use Helix Native to it’s full power by turning off Hardware Compatibility Mode which expands the power up to and beyond that of a full Helix.

Further to this, once you have the dry signal and run it through Native, you can either punch in the required button push manually on the fly, or add an automation track to send the MIDI CC to turn the effect on or off when needed.

Also, there are videos, about controlling Native via MIDI (this guy uses Ableton, but the principle is the same).

Check out the Helix Native 3.51 Pilot’s Guide, page 56 - MIDI Bypass and Controller Assignments. Find it by clicking on the question mark in a circle icon in the lower left of the status bar of Helix Native.

Hope this helps/makes sense.
