Gas_Hed
I got myself a HX Stomp and plan to use it as my entire rig, direct to mixing board. I use IEMs when I play and plan on using one of the line outs from the HX Stomp for my IEM signal. There will be times when I want to go direct to the PA speakers (no mixing board) and that creates a problem for the way I use IEMs. Wondering if I can put a Y splitter in one of the outputs and get the right signal to the PA speakers that way. My guess is there is some loss, or sharing of signal between the two lines that creates a loss, so this is not ideal. But that's just my guess. Hoping someone can set me straight here. Ultimate question is should I get a buffer with 2 line outs for this scenario?
DunedinDragon
I suppose you could 'Frankenstein' something together, but it seems to me you'd be better off dependability-wise to just have a cheap, small analog mixer where you have a main out and a monitor out so you only have to gain stage a single signal out of the Stomp and manage the in ears and front PA speaker volumes separately.
rwandering
I agree that you need a mixer to do it right, but a buffered split could work. You just want to make sure the device supports line-level (and pedals generally are expecting instrument-level).
