HD500 Update Problems

I have this HD500 and I try to update it and it shows successful when updating it but when I unplug power (like it says to) and restart it, it shows up "unknown" and HD500 Edit won't see it. I can restore an earlier firmware if I start the POD in safe mode or whatever and let it restore a previous version from Monkey. But I just wonder why I can't get the latest update.

I've tried both front and back USB ports on this desktop computer and I've also tried updating with my laptop to no avail. Same problem.

What version of FLASH FW is shown on POD's display when you hold down the VIEW button to access the system settings?

If it is 2.62 then your POD has been updated successfully and the USB ports on your computer and POD are both working as they should.

However, there could be a problem (especially if your OS is windows 11) of incorrect or incomplete installation of the driver (responsible for communication between POD and computer).

(Sometimes it happens that the security functions of an OS prevent the correct installation of drivers)

Try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it again..
If that doesn't fix the problem, try uninstalling the driver again and try installing manually (ie not via monkey) the previous version that you can find in the DOWNLOAD section of this site..

PS:

please remember that after each firmware installation it is highly recommended by the manufacturer to do a global reset and finally a calibration of the pedal to avoid any malfunctions
