didrocks
Hello. I'm building my new rig around an HX Effects 4 cable method and some pedals. What I'm trying to do, like I did on my old rig (a much more complicated rack MIDI controlled old multifx), is trying to have as few switches to press as possible. Preset mode with four switches is perfect for me: Clean, Rhythm, Lead and Solo. Snapshots would be a very interesting addon for some variations, but I don't want to enter snapshot mode each time, that would be too much tinkering on stage. On my old rig I used to do this with an expression pedal: say I'm in rhythm but I want to add a bit of chorus and delay: I assigned them via midi and their mix value raised up to a certain point as I pressed the pedal down, then back to zero when bringing it back up. I could pretty easily replicate this on the HX Effects. While editing in HX Edit though and playing with snapshots, i noticed this thing, which the manual makes no mention of: if I edit the second snapshot on a preset, when I'm in that preset and press that same preset button again, it switches to the second snapshot! That would make things even easier and better for me, like assigning chorus and delay activation to the second snapshot... if only it went back to snapshot 1 when pressing again! But it stays on snapshot 2 and won't go back unless I switch to another preset and go back to that one, and this is obviously unfeasible. Does anybody have any info on this snapshot changing thing while in preset mode, and is there a way/setting to do what I want to do? Thanks a lot! Switch to snapshot 2 and then edit the button to got to snapshot 1.
