BaylorPRSer
Hi there, My A and D buttons require a bit more pressure to turn on and off than B, C, and the FS1-FS4 buttons. Is this normal? Can it be fixed? If so, how? I see there's a buttons option in safe mode, but I don't want to go tinkering with that before I know what I'm doing. Is this normal? Can it be fixed? If so, how? Internally beneath the footswitches are two separate rows of tactile switches. After disassembling them you could apply directly a good quality contact cleaner or even better isopropyl alcohol. If cleaning doesn't solve the problem then you need to replace the individual worn switches (which thing requires knowing how to solder/desolder properly) or more conveniently the entire rows of switches. pfsmith0
For me, it was enough to open the unit, pop out the springs under the buttons, re-stretch the springs, put them back, re-assemble. The switch itself was just fine.
