Line6 Link to connect two POD HD500

Hi all!

I know it is not something Line6 Link is initially intended or promoted by manufacturer, but is it possible to connect 2 POD HD500 via Line6 Link to transmit the instrument signal from one pod to the other and to control both units with one?

The only option I can think of now w.r.t. signal transmission without any external channel splitting device is putting an FX LOOP in the very beginning of the chain in one pod and sending the dry signal from its "SEND" output to the other pod's input.

However, in such case, as I understand, the instrument signal suffers AD and DA convertions even before hitting the second POD, wherein it is subject to ADC again. Not to mention that controlling both pods still remains an issue.

<<The L6 Link connection doesn't provide communication between different PODs. Actually, all of the PODs with the L6 Link only have an L6 Link out.>>
