An hour does seem too long. The lack of any progress shown in the progress bar in the image indicates that the firmware update is not able to begin. Did you follow the instructions provided in your image?

 

If so, and still not working, given your earlier USB port issue I suspect there is a compatibility problem of some sort with Helix and your computer. I would open a support ticket to work directly with Line 6 Technical Support. Follow the Support tab at the top of this page.
