u0088782
New HX Stomp owner. I'm trying to build a preset with 3 guitars and 1 keyboard always connected, then ABC the guitars as follows: Path A Main L - Guitar 1 Main R - Guitar 2 Return L - Guitar 3 Output Main L/R Path B Return R - Keyboard Output Send L/R I've gotten everything working except I can't prevent Return L (Path A) from outputing to Path B. It doesn't matter whether I choose Send L, Send R, or Send L/R at the end of Path B. The culprit seems to be Return R at the start of Path B. Despite supposedly only being the R channel, it adds Return L to the mix on Path B - deleting it removes the unwanted signal. It's weird because Return L on Path A works exactly as intended. Perhaps I'm just completely misunderstanding how routing / signal paths work...
Schmalle
Make sure to set Global Settings -> Ins/Outs -> Return Type to Return.
u0088782
Sadly, that wasn't it. Any other suggestions?
Schmalle
I see you use Mix 50% on Path B's Return R block. That should be 100% unless the Split block is set to Split A/B with RouteTo set to A100. Otherwise the guitars 1 and 2 bleed through. Also you don't need to use the Send block: select the Mixer block, press Action and select Path B. If that doesn't help: post the patch.
u0088782
Yeah, I'm using Split A/B Route to A100. I started with a Mixer block, but that didn't work either. Preset attached. Thanks again! I really appreciate it. TEST.hlx
Schmalle
I can confirm that the patch does exactly what you described IF no cable is connected to Return R. HX is auto-merging channels when you use the left input or left return only it is internally distributed to the right channel. In other words: by unplugging from the right return the Return R block effectively becomes a Return L block.
u0088782
Wow! That was the problem. I was swapping one cable back and forth! It was working all along. Now I know. Thanks!
