chrima
Hi there, I'm going to buy a Spider 75 or 150. As far as I could find out to date Spider models do not have any MIDI In/ Out ports. Can I change programs via MIDI by sequencer (e.g. Propellerheads Reason 7)? What about FBV Express USB to send and receive MIDI? Thank you. fflbrgst
No, the Spider IV amps do not have the ability to receive MIDI data/changes. The FBV MkII pedals control amp functions (patch changes and volume/wah for the Express) and also serve as a USB conduit to update firmware in the amp, and to upload new patches to the amp via Spider Edit software. The FBV MkII can also be used as a MIDI controller using Spider Control software - it will control other MIDI devices mapped with Spider Control, but not the Spider amps.
