Steve0916
I just got an HX Stomp XL. I created a preset using HX edit with a clean amp, distortion pedal, wah, reverb and a compressor. On the unit the only block that is showing up to turn on and off is the distortion pedal. If I long press the mode button I see everything in an edit mode, but when it's not in that mode I can't control anything but the distortion pedal. christemepher288
@Steve0916 you can assign blocks to be turned on and off by your stomp pedals. you will need to do this first though before in hx edit ( you can do it using the XL, i'm not sure how but there are some great youtube videos online). You'll need to right click on the block in the chain in hx edit- this should come up with a bypass assign column in the dropdown- from here you can assign that particular 'block' or effect to a separate foot switch on the XL. There are 4 different modes though so you'll need to toggle between the modes on the stomp to make sure you're in the right mode to be able to switch off and on effects using the stomp switches. I dont have an XL but i assume its fairly similar to the HX Stomp. Also i have only recently purchased mine a few weeks ago so apologies if my response isn't clear, there are lots of very experienced users on here who im sure will explain it better, but know i struggled with this at the start so thought i would help! rd2rk
If FOOTSWITCHES>STOMP SELECT is set to TOUCH or BOTH, then you should be able to select a Block, touch a FS and the screen should show the option to assign the FS to Bypass that Block. In HX Edit, RIGHT CLICK any Block and use BYPASS ASSIGN from the dropdown to select how to control it.
