Carlson
I would like to know if there will be any CUSTOMTONE downloads coming for POD Express Bass. Thanks
silverhead
Custom tone is a user driven tone repository. In other words there’s no one responsible for populating the site, and no ‘plan’ for doing so. It’s up to users to upload their tones for others to download. You can be the first to do so!
romulsdefroz
That’s a great question! It would be awesome to see some CUSTOMTONE downloads specifically tailored for the POD Express Bass. Having access to tones like that really lets you personalize your sound and push creative boundaries. Speaking of personalization, exploring what you want—whether it’s in music or relationships—is such a great way to encourage personal growth. Carlson
Thanks for the info. Are there any other Line 6 products' Customtones that are compatible to be used with the POD Express bass?

I think that would have been mentioned as a selling feature in the POD express marketing. Even then, only a small number of other device presets would be directly compatible due to the relatively small number of amps and FX in the Express vs. other devices. There would need to be a conversion utility of some sort to recognize discrepancies and make intelligent choices re: alternatives.

I was just looking for a way to upload one of my tones for the POD Express Bass and I don't really see a path to be able to do that. Can someone walk me through the procedure? silverhead
First, download and install the POD Express Editor from the Downloads area of this website. With that installed you should be able to export your tone to a file on your computer. After doing that use the upload button on the main Customtone page. Select the POD Go as the product since the POD Express is considered a sub-product of the POD Go and does not have its own Customtone area. Make sure you note that your tone is compatible with the POD Express Bass in the comments area of the information you provide when uploading the tone. Followed all your instructions and it did not work. This is the error message that was generated: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@line6.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. I did choose POD Go, and this is the format that Editor saves the presets for POD Express Bass "Slap Tone.pxp2". Any suggestions? Thanks
silverhead
I suspect that Customtone doesn’t recognize the filetype but I’m not sure. I would follow the suggestion to contact the webmaster.

It's possible it might happen, but currently that's not available or uploads and downloads on CustomTone.
