MitcheySevenFive
Hi everyone, I know it can be more than difficult without speakers - but I need your help to create feedback that stays as long as possible even when I change the pitch on the string. I use the Helix directly into the board without monitors etc. and not too extreme gain and despite numerous attempts and settings with the ‚Feedbacker‘ I have unfortunately not found a workable solution! Is it possible to work with the settings of the amps (maybe in addition to the ‚Feedbacker‘) - without changing the amp sound in general? I do not have any problem switching to an identical/similar sounding but “hotter” amp for these parts by stomp or snapshot. Examples of the feedback parts I am looking for: the part which is played from 0:18 min on in the background (can be seen from 0:54 min on): or, for example, the parts in the verse of this song from 0:35 min on: I would really appreciate your advice and help! Many thanks in advance ;)
Schmalle
Search for E Bow or Sustainiac - these are common solutions for getting infinite feedback without volume. That said you can generate an artificial feedback sound with predefinded pitch without even using the guitar. I attached a sloppy HX Stomp preset to give you a starting point. You don't even need the Feedbacker. Just use one or two 3 Note Oscillators feeding the amp. Make it footswitchable (Bypass Assign). Let it fade in with the Attack parameter. Add something like a Pitch Vibrato to let it become more alive. Go crazy and change the oscillator pitches via Contoller Assign or Snapshots. Be creative!
