4CM with 5153 stealth

Hi

Im out on tour at the moment and therefore really don't have a lot of time to set up, but I'm playing somewhere that will necessitate doing the 4cm method with the helix and an EVH 5150 iii 50w stealth.

I haven't had this problem using my helix hx effects unit as I have wired it in the loop using the hx instrument input and output connections.

Anyway. I tried using 4cm with the helix/evh 5153 last night and although there was a signal, it was extremely quiet.

Ive connected via the recommended connections,

I have put the amp in effects loop one.

There is no way of adjusting levels on the amps send/return levels.

I am hoping someone can help me with what settings I should use on the helix to get it to work

I know the immediate answer is 'read the manual' but I just don't have the time. I will be setting off for the journey very soon and as Im the driver I can't do much reading.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction as it looks like the problem is with my settings on the helix

Thanks and hope someone can help me out here.

Cheers

Zander

Global Settings>Ins/Outs>FX Loop1 = INST

Guitar>Helix INPUT>Helix SEND 1>5153 INPUT>5153 SEND>Helix RETURN 1>Helix L/MONO MAIN Output>5153 RETURN.

Shielded cables all around.

The FX Loop Block goes between the PRE effects (OD, MODS etc) and the POST effects (delay, reverb, etc).

Of course, any kind of effects can go anywhere, that's just the most common way.

If you're still having problems, attach a sample preset so we can see what might be the issue.
